Projekt202's Eckert Named Winner of ABJ's Rising Star Award

AUSTIN, Texas -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Dec. 30, 2004 -- Peter Eckert, co-founder and Creative Director of industry-leading software user interface (UI) design firm projekt202, has been named as a "Rising Star" by the Austin Business Journal.

The annual Rising Stars program, sponsored by the Austin Business Journal, recognizes professionals who represent Austin's "lively entrepreneurial environment." Picked from a pool of 76 nominees, Eckert was recognized as a high-tech industry leader.

Eckert was nominated for the award because of his rapid career advancement, job accomplishments and potential to be an ongoing, successful leader in the community. Peter is regarded as one of the industry's visionaries and best user interface designers by some of the top software companies in the world.

Eckert and business partner Jeff Steinberg created projekt202 in 2003 as response to a rapidly growing and changing software market. Eckert oversees all design aspects of an engagement, from the look and feel of software user interfaces and e-commerce sites, to the functionality and usability of their elements.

Eckert acted as president of WATCH, Inc., a design firm he founded in Cologne, Germany. His client list included DaimlerChrysler, ZDF, Spiegel, the Swiss bank SBG, and a number of other prominent companies throughout Europe. Eckert later collaborated with frog design on projects for SAP, Microsoft, Motorola, Symantec, Thompson Financial, Halliburton, i2 Technologies and many other well-known companies.
